Applied SAFe® Deployment Workshop
In this 2-days workshop, you learn how to deploy Applied SAFe® in your company by creating a real deployment plan. You will learn how to use effective deployment strategies and process distribution concepts like Tailoring, Process Instantiation, Permissions, User Administration, Metrics, etc. as supported by the Stages platform. Understand the already existing over 440 tailoring options to be able to customize each Applied SAFe level to the needs of its users. Understand the relevant customizations and key concepts of Applied SAFe to prepare a change and deployment plan that achieves high community acceptance and adoption success.

Learning Objectives
After this course, you should be able to:
- Understand different process deployment strategies
- Launch customized Applied SAFe® instances on all framework levels
- Transfer SAFe® Concepts into an executable portfolio, value stream, program or team
- Use provided deployment and instantiation mechanisms (Tailoring, Process Instantiation, Permissions, User Administration) to set up Team, Program, Value Stream and Portfolio Level
- Apply given enabling and transformation concepts for a successful change approach

- Hands-on experience with Applied SAFe® on PEDCO’s Applied SAFe® Playground
- Workspace hierarchy and implementation strategies
- Process instantiation, core process import and update
- Process overlays, branch and merge of process elements (recap)
- Tailoring execution (automated and manual) and options on each Applied SAFe® level
- Process versioning and valid releases
- News application
- Configuration management system
- File handling, templates, documents, state management
- Permission concept and matrix, user and role administration
- Influence of the license type
- Metrics, dashboard, reporting capabilities
- Annotations, annotation report, process improvements
- Organizational learning, lean-agile feedback loops
Pre-requisites
- Training in either Leading SAFe®, SAFe® for Teams or Implementing SAFe®
- Applied SAFe® Introduction Training
